We offer MIG, TIG, subarc, flux-core, and exotic weld overlay capabilities, along with in-house NDT, CAD modeling, and support for military and marine-grade specifications. From repair and refurbishment to new builds, A&G Price provides end-to-end fabrication solutions — with no subcontracting delays — delivered on time and built tough for New Zealand’s industrial landscape.

With a floor area of 1600m² and a total lifting capacity of 20 tonnes, our Fabrication Shop is capable of a wide range of welded fabrications. With specialist welders and equipment available at all times, A&G Price handles difficult repair and refurbishment work as well as new fabrications.

We offer a range of on-site services. Our design engineers regularly travel to site to view and measure equipment in need of repair or replacement. Our mechanical fitters are used by many companies such as Golden Bay Cement, Newmont Waihi Gold and Oceana Gold for maintenance shut-down work.

Fittings, Repairs & Rebuilds

Our team of highly skilled fitters has experience in a diverse range of mechanical equipment. We have a history of over 140 years of involvement in industries such as mining, rail, marine, hydro-electricity and defence, and a comprehensive library of drawings for equipment such as cement, lime, fertiliser, steel, rock and coal processing.

Our fitting shop comprises a range of presses to 200 tonne capacity, a specialised press for rail wheels and axles, and 2 x 10 tonne cranes. We also have the ability to centrifugally cast a range of white metal bearings. Our fitters are also available for on-site repair and maintenance projects by arrangement.
