All major projects within our plant are assigned a Project Manager, who oversees all aspects of production. Initial design, casting methodology, machining and fabrication phases are thoroughly checked and monitored to ensure full conformance to specification. Each Project Manager is the key point of communication with the customer.
The design office at AGP comprises a team of highly qualified mechanical engineers with experience in a wide range of engineering disciplines. Supported by AGP’s own metallurgists and foundry methods engineers, our design team offers unique skills in product design, reverse engineering, product customisation and manufacturing optimisation.
The design office is supported by a range of computer software including:
- Seven seats running ‘SolidWorks’ (latest release)
- Four seats running Bentley ‘MicroStation’, ‘MicroStation Modeller’ and ‘Power Draft’
- One seat running ‘SolidCAM’
- One seat running ‘Rhinoceros’
- ‘Nova Solid’ & ‘Nova Flow’ casting thermal analysis software
- ‘SolidCAM’ CNC Programming and computerised manufacture systems

3D Modelling & Drawing
We offer a full Drafting and Modelling service by qualified engineers. Using 7 SolidWorks™ seats, 4 Bentley MicroStation™ seats and 1 Rhinoceros™ seat, we can convert standard 2-D drawings to full 3-D models for use in our casting simulation and CAM software.
We also have plan printing, copying and scanning facilities to AO size. Our drawing library contains over 100,000 drawings dating back to 1868.
Our engineers are highly skilled in reverse engineering. In a world where equipment is quickly considered obsolete, replacement parts from OEMs often become impossible to source.
A&G Price can replicate and often improve on OEM parts that are no longer available, and can offer cheaper or more customised options where patents are no longer in place.
