FOUNDRY At the heart of A&G Price’s manufacturing facility is the large, total-capability foundry. With the ability to cast 10,000kg in irons, 6,000kg in steels, 2,500kg in stainless steels and 1,300kg in non-ferrous alloys, the foundry is one of the largest and most versatile in New Zealand.
The foundry is supported by services such as:
- Design Engineering: Services in design, drafting, 3D modelling, reverse engineering.
- Foundry Methoding: Computerised casting simulation software to optimise casting methods, reduce gross weights and maximise casting integrity.
- Pattern Shop: Full pattern-making facilities utilising qualified craftsmen and CNC routing equipment to manufacture patterns in a range of materials.
- Metallurgy: Qualified metallurgists, backed by sophisticated equipment, with the ability to identify existing materials and formulate customised materials for specific applications.
- Moulding: Small and medium / large castings can be moulded on either semi-automated or manual moulding production lines. Core-making facilities are also available on multiple machines.
- NDT: Full Non-Destructive testing facilities including Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic testing as well as microstructure analysis.
- Heat Treatment: A range of heat treatment ovens with temperature control and data-logging facilities is available for in-house and contract heat treatment work. We offer a wide range of stress releiving, annealing, water quenching, oil quenching and hardening facilities.
Primarily a jobbing foundry, but with an ever-increasing capacity for batch production, A&G Price Ltd is well equipped to provide high-level castings to a wide range of industries and applications. |
